Branding is very important for the success of any business because it helps in distinguishing a product from related products, thereby guiding and enabling consumers to identify their needs seamlessly. The idea of branding is to build a different positive identity of a product under consideration in the minds of proposed target audience. Good branding pushes the vision of an organization, increases the work culture of the organization as well as sustain the positioning in the market, thus creating fast connection with customers.
Another major factor to consider in branding is consistency. Consistency in branding is a measure of building confidence and trust, because customers trust and want to patronize brands they are familiar with.
Branding helps customers to lessen the time needed to purchase and to assess the quality of products especially if they are unable to evaluate the product features, it goes a long way to raise customers confidence in purchasing any product of their desire.
Among all brands known for their sustainability over some years, I’ve decided to list out 15 among them that I can relate with:
It’s highly consistent. Amazon’s exceptional product accessibility, functionality and customer experience all converge to create a strong brand that consumers trust. . He helps customers make the right purchase decision recommendations from past buyers, products rating, reviews, comments and questions.
It’s credible and unique. Apple brand focuses on design, innovation and imagination in such a way that it differentiates itself from competitive. Apple’s design is people oriented because it drives individual emotions of being the best in quality and most reliable e.g. Apple iphones are considered as priority regardless of how expensive they are.
Nike got into the world-famous sports brand only because of these key points. Nike communicates with consumers actively and absorbs the original ideas of people. There are many brands on the market, but Nike is really a brand, which can be relied on when it comes to quality. Even without the company name, the Nike brand is instantly recognizable by its famous logo alone. It’s not by chance that the brand reached global success but by marketing its brand on young teenagers. The material and the technology they have is very stylish and innovative. especially PROCOMBAT. Famous people in every sport are sponsors. For example Cristiano Ronaldo in football, LeBron James in basketball, Rafael Nadal in tennis etc.And the main reason is its durability and quality which speaks for the brand name itself. “Just do it”!
4. UNILEVER BRANDS:
While not many people are familiar with the name Unilever, most people are familiar with brands such as lux, omo, blue-band margarine, Sun-silk, Axe, Knorr , Lipton, and Dove among many others that belong to Unilever, these brands play great role in sustaining lives on earth. Unilever marketing strategy is focused on acquisition and open innovation from partnership or forming joint ventures in order to sustain lives.
Nescafé is a brand that successfully spread worldwide responding to most consumer needs, on an innovative and creative way. Besides having a considerable variety of products, the brand goes on with its unity. The brand is strong, and it has, by far, the biggest market share among its instant coffee competitors, around 80%. The Innovative and creative marketing of Nescafe brand is focused on its various marketing concepts.
Based in Finland is one of the foremost mobile phone makers around the world.It is well known for its long lasting battery life. It has stylish designs and low-cost models for the developing world which give the mobile maker an edge over its competitors.
7. PEAK MILK:
Peak has gained industry respect as a pioneering and leading brand that delivers superior dairy nutrition through life stages.The brand flourishes because it link with its buyers. With their introduction of “Peak Can Do More” (PECADOMO) which is aimed at educating and exposing buyers on other forms of consuming milk. I think the concept is significant in making buyers quickly reach for their Peak.
Quaker oats company produces a wide variety of cereal products. Quaker oat is easy to prepare and according to studies contains high insoluble fibre, which is said to fight cancer causing agents. It also reduces the effect of toxicity bile acids and eases the movement of food through the bowels, thereby averting the risk of bowel cancer.In addition, whole grains such as quaker oats are a source of Iron, Magnesium and B Vitamins.
Based in Japan is Asia’s largest automaker. Toyota Toyota’s series of cars have entered the world market and attained major sales success. It is one of the most valuable automotive brands across the world.Their products might not appear too flamboyant like its competitors but remains on the road for a good number of years.Toyota also has products for the lower middle class and is fuel efficient.The brands are more generally available and loved by many.
10. MICROSOFT CORPORATION
Microsoft (MS) is an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics and personal computers and services. Ms was founded by Paul Allen and Bill Gates.
This is one of my favourite international brands because from records one can see the strategic rise of this corporation due to well use of branding strategy.
Initially MS was to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800, then it rose to dominate the personal computer operating system market with MS-DOS in the mid 1980s, followed by Microsoft windows and as of 2016 it was the world’s largest software maker by revenue, and one of the world’s most valuable companies.
And now it is deem fit to say MS has made life much stress free with the creation of its lines of operating systems, Microsoft office suites and internet explorer.
In the fast food brand Mcdonald has made a name for itself because of their very very tasty food menu and most importantly their burgers.
Mcdonalds believe consistency in a brand brings about consumers loyalty to the brand name, there operations, menu, supply chain brand elements from loyal customers says it all.
According to research Guinness is taking the top spot in the ale and stout market as a whole as result of well drawn marketing campaign.
In the social media apps facebook is one of my favourite brands because it is an avenue for users to source for new feature product ideas, for instance, skype is also using facebook to ask users for ideas for new features they’ll like to see on the [platform.
Most other platform use facebook as social media marketing to reach to their larger customers with news and information.
14. UNILEVER PLC
Unilever as a consumer goods is one of my favourite brands in Nigeria as their brand are majorly household favorites in Nigeria and it is because of their deep commitment to meet consumers needs which has brought about consumer’s loyalty to all their brands.
15. COCA COLA
Coca Cola is a brand that has existed for years even right from when I knew myself to be a human on earth. The rate its products are being repositioned and rebranded to suit the growing trend is a great attribution of why they remain strong in the competitive market. Coca cola has proving times without number to be a symbol of relating brand development to brand loyalty and until this very moment, Coca cola still has a great value in the market share despite the threat of competitors.
